The band blends lively accordion (Louden MacKay) and punchy whistle (Kenneth MacFarlane) with thunderous guitar and vocals (Arthur Brook Young) into a powerful, driven sound. \nDrawing on a firm connection to their roots in the Scottish Highlands in tandem with fresher inspirations from the likes of Silly Wizard, Sharon Shannon and John Martyn, CÀRNAN brings a raw uniqueness to each performance.​\nNamed after the Gàidhlig word for ancient stone cairns used to guide travellers through the wild Hebridean landscapes, their music aims to ground, move, and connect. \n \nTickets available from www.neatshows.org.uk, also on the door.
