In 2016 Fittie residents volunteered to run a project to create our first fundraising merchandise in the form of a calendar showing modern and historical photos of our picturesque village. So that all the village could join in, photograph submissions were invited from residents and a competition was held for best photograph.
This project was designed to encourage involvement from all residents and make a finished product – that as well as raising funds for the community hall – allowed residents to share our common love of the village we live in. 350 calendars were sold and over £1000 was raised for the Fittie community hall.
